If I recorded a .wmv using MM2.1 and then imported that file
back into MM2.1 and split off the last minute of the video and
saved the result using exactly the same video profile. Am I right
in assuming that there would be no loss of quality whatsoever
because the program would be intelligent enough to spot that it's
simply doing a trim operation and doesn't need to re-encode (and
degrade the quality further) ? I'm tempted to think this isn't the
case because doing this operation can take 20 minutes on a 30
minute video recorded (and being re-saved) at 500kbps. If it was
being intelligent it would simply figure out where to truncate the file.
