Choosing "send" account

In the old Outlook I could choose an account to send with
by clicking on the little down arrow by "send". In 2003
it's not there.

I'm downloading mail, at the moment, from an old dial up
account but I can only reply on a Broadband account where
I'm connected. Both are set up within the same profile.

"Help" says there's an option to choose a from field, but
it looks to "contacts" to find it which I don't
understand, I need to choose from one of the accounts.

You don't have an Accounts button right next to Send from which you can
choose your account?
 
If I create a new mail I can choose the account as you
describe although it doesn't give confidence by adding
the from field on the mail, you have to check "sent"
after the event to know if it was done right. But that
aside if I receive my mail through one account and hit
reply, how do I THEN choose the account to send the reply
from?

I'm sure this isn't a unique request, it's what happens
when one changes providers. How can I do this please?

It would be a doddle in OE, but then I wouldn't have the
calender or contacts I need.

Your help appreciated.

The From field has never controlled the sending account.
The Accounts dropdown appears on replies the same as it does for new message
windows.
I don't see how changing the sending account could be any easier than it
already is.

OK, I'm probably being totally thick, but if I
click "new" it is exactly as you say, but if I
click "reply" on a message in my inbox only a "send"
button is visible, not an "accounts" button.
