After going from dial-up to wireless, I am experiencing problems with saving
JPEG and GIF images. I save to documents/my pictures. The image does not show
as a thumbnail as in the past. When I click on the file, I am prompted to
choose the program to open the file with. If I choose "Windows Picture & Fax
Viewer," the image opens but does not remain a thumbnail. To open the file I
must repeat the process.
If I choose Internet Explorer to open the file and again save the image to
documents/my pictures a second time, the image shows as a thumbnail which I
may open. I then delete the unopened file.
Since the open to "Always use the selected program to open the file type"
box does not accept a check, that option is not available. Perhaps
uninstalling MSN 9.5 has something to do with it?
Since I would rather not reinstall the dial-up software, is there another
solution?
