my computer crashed on sunday, upon reboot i got a blue screen with an error. I cant remember the error message, something like unbootable_disk_volume. I dont think thats right, maybe it is, but something similar. Anyway, upon consultation with the computer mfgr. they told me to download (from a different computer) the "recovery console". I did that, it goes into the system recovery, I get a C: prompt, I then type "chkdsk /r". It tells me that it cant find the "autochk.exe" file. Upon further investigation, I find out I need the "chkdsk.exe" file, on a floppy. So to get to the point, can somebody please email me the "chkdsk.exe" file, for XP, so I can fix my machine. Thanks.

Hi,

type c:\windows\system32 and press enter, when you are prompted for the
location of Autochk.exe

This should resolve the problem

Best of luck
