After a applicationcrash the rootfolder that I was working against got
corrupted.
When I clicked on the folder in the explorer I just got a err mess saying that
the folder/files were corrupted. Same thing when I tried to access the folder
from the command prompt. Then I did a restart and when it booted up again
chkdsk
started automaticly. I let it work and under the process 3 "orphan file
records"
and 6 "index entry" were deleted. When it after a also automaticly restart
the
hole folder was gone and all my work in it disappeared. Dont chkdsk create a
backup or some trace that may be used to resume my folder and data that were
vanished?

Yes...
Your lost data has all been written to .chk files

Splicing them back together is going to be quite a difficult task.

You can at least examine them in a text editor to possibly retrieve some of
the information...
depending on what form the data were in.

===================================================

You need to make sure all files & folders are not hidden and also select
untick 'Hide extensions for known file types'

Once this is done have a look in the root of 'c' [double click on the 'C'
drive in My Computer] for folders such as found.000, found.001 etc. These
are your recovered files from chkdsk. It is possible that some or all of the
affected files you are looking for are in these folders and are recoverable.

Good luck
