I powered up my Vista 64 machine tonight and chkdsk starting going
berserk. I saw a whole bunch of "deleting index entry" and something
about Windows and AMD64. I had no idea what I was even seeing until I
did some research, but I'm confused about what's happening.
Anyway, from a command prompt I ran sfc /scannow and this is what I
saw:
C:\Users\Administrator>sfc /scannow
Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.
Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix
some of th
em.
Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For
example
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
C:\Users\Administrator>findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log>
%userprofile%
\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt

I have no idea what's going on. It appears that something has been
corrupted, but I have no idea how. I'm also confused that a lot of
what appears to be hosed has to do with AMD64 something-or-other and I
have an Intel Core i7 processor, not AMD64.
I'm also confused about whether or not this repair actually worked. At
first it appears that it did not, but then at the very end of the file
it says that the repair was successful. Which is it?
If something is still wrong, what do I do to fix it?
Thanks!

Thanks!
