Chkdsk utility

this thing keeps popping up saying that i need to run the
Chkdsk utility and i don't know how to do that can
someone please help me

Click Start -> Run and enter CMD, then click OK. In the command prompt
window, enter "chkdsk /?" (no quotes) at the prompt for a brief description.

go to Start, then Run and enter chkdsk /f. This will run
checkdisk and fix any errors you may have on the disk (in
the FAT, for example). After that, you may want to run
the defragger (start, accessories, system tools) and
defragment your drive. Do all of this monthly to maintain
good performance (it's like an oil change on your car).
