chkdsk can be a nuisance
but it is also ensuring your
disk has no errors that would
otherwise result in loss of data.
however, your chkdsk is likely
running upon each cold boot up.
my suggestion is that you should
begin using the power option called
hibernation on a regular basis.
then reserve a cold boot for every
few days or once a week.
the hibernation power option
will launch windows much quicker
than from a cold startup/boot up.
