When CHKDSK runs during XPe boot I can see from the HDD light that it's
running the but user screen is black. There is no indication that
anything is happening. After a few minutes it finishes then reboots
normally to our user interface. Any ideas why the CHKDSK wouldn't be
displayed? We do have our XPe system configured for Minlogon if that
makes a difference.

Thanks
Rich

How can you configure XPe to run CHKDSK during boot ?
(We run CHKDSK through autostart in a dosbox)

Excuse that I can't help you with your problem,
we always see the dosbox ;-)

How can you configure XPe to run CHKDSK during boot ?

We use the FSUTIL command to mark the disk as "dirty":

FSUTIL DIRTY SET C:

And schedule CHKDSK to run at next boot:

CHKNTFS /C C:
