I have a new computer dell xps m1210, running vista. I dont know how to fix
this problem! I definitely have a corrupt file, and I am completely unable to
run iTunes. I have tried reinstalling it (doesnt help!) and uninstalling it
(it wont let me do it). Then all of a sudden, this little window in the
bottom corner told me I had a corrupt file and I need to run chkdsk. I
scheduled it to start upon restart, but when I restart, nothing appears. I
have tried it numerous times and it just wont go. I have only done it using
the preferences for my computer. i know there is a way to do it with the
command prompt, but I dont even know how to get that to show up because I
cant find the 'Run' button on this new vista setup. i noticed a few previous
posts that involved this same problem, and the person with the problem said
chkdsk wouldnt work regardless of how he tried to schedule it. on the
previous posts, no one really seemed to have a definitive answer.
please oh please someone help me. i know a little about computers but my
knowledge of vista is limited as I just got this computer, so if you're going
to give me advice, please dumb it down a little.
i miss my music.
