Chkdsk does not fix errors

B

Bill Williams

When I run Norton Disk Doctor, it finds problems with
a "Security Descriptor". When I tell it to fix the error
it reboots and runs chkdsk and restarts. The Security
Descriptor problem is not fixed.
When I run chkdsk c: it finds problems with the file
system and tells me to run chkdsk /F c:. I run it and,
restart, chkdsk runs again at startup but does not clear
the errors in the file system.

Your Hard Drive may be on the verge of failing. Download a
Diagonistic Utility from the Manufacturers website.

The cmd is:CHKDSK C: /F
You probably should run the repair,CHKDSK C: /R
It takes more time but will repair other areas F doesnt.
