chkdk error

When I type in chkdsk c:/f, i receive the following
error message. Cannot run chkdsk the volume is in use by
another process. How do i correct this problem. @nd
problem is everytime i restart my computer i automatically
tell my C drive to go to share this file??? How can i
correct this?

Assuming that you've got your operating system installed on C: then of
course the volume is in use. The operating system is using it. If you
want to run chkdsk on C: then simply follow the prompts and let it
schedule it for the next time you reboot the computer.
 
I did that but when i do that will it automatically fix
all errors. I am having prblems getting control of my "c"
drive. When I try to start my windows installer comand it
give me a error message saying that access is denied??
