where can I go to get someting to help me convert chinese language on a web
site to english when I use ie 6

I was reading up about that, I don't understand.
if I want to read chinese in english, why would I want to display chinese
characters?
could you explain a bit more please?

IE and the translator program will have to deal with/handle and recognize
the Chinese fonts properly first before translating them into English.

This would be useful if you are just cutting/pasting text from web sites
into a translator. Google and the site below will do whole web pages at
once for you.

Another free online translator:
http://babelfish.altavista.com/ - the first and still looks like it does
better than Google's for Chinese.
