Occasionally I receive junk mail with what appear to be Chinese characters
in the subject. The same is true when I do some searches with IE6. Is there
some language file I should have updated but missed somewhere? I don't know
if this is an IE6 or WindowsXP issue.

Hi,

It's entirely possible that the mail you are receiving or the sites you are
visiting are in Asian characters. It wouldn't be unusual to receive Asian spam.

With respect to the search results in IE, depending on what you search, you may
also be visiting Asian sites (using Asian linguistics).

You may find all manner of updates, including language updates here:

In this specific situation, however, it does not seem like you should be
too concerned, as it would seem to be due to the diverse nature of the
internet ;-) . . .

You can do what I did and cut and paste a line of these characters as a
message rule to be deleted from the server.
