I'll admit it. I'm lost. What is the proper newsgroup to post a question on
how to create a child web?

thanks!

Troy

All yo have to do is create a web inside a web. So if you're going to create
a web as a subweb or child web of http://localhost/myweb, just put it at
http://localhost/myweb/childweb. If you're using disk-based webs though FP
may complain about this as it doesn't really like to have disk-based webs
nested inside eachother.

Hope this helps,

Re Disc based webs (DBW) and subwebs
- Agree, but that Only happens when the user creates the DBW in other than the hard drive root (top level as in C:\MyWeb), or the FP
web and /or path to FP web has spaces in the folder name

Unfortunately the default location for DBW is in the My Documents\My Webs folder and that's where users tend to put them -
generating the FP "complaint" when you try to create subwebs in a DBW
