Child Domain Removal -- Part 2

Yesterday I asked about removing a CHILD DOMAIN from a
forest. I got some answers and did some research.

I performed the action of rolling it back on the LAST
DOMAIN CONTROLLER in the domain (there was only 1 anyway,
and no clients or users or anythign like that, just an
empty domain with a single DC).

I ensure I had communications with the FSMO, RID, etc
servers and then ran the DCPROMO to remove it. I checked
the box as the LAST DC IN THE DOMAIN so it would kill the
domain. That process worked well, and returned the
former DC into a standalone server in a workgroup.

I let replication happen overnight last night, and when I
go into the DOMAINS AND TRUSTS MMC, there is no domain
listed for it. Just our actual being used child domain.

However, if I go into SITES AND SERVICES in the SITE
where it resided, the server name still exists, and the
DNS for the child domain still exists.

Do I have a problem? Or do I just need to delete those
entries? Hopefully, it is just the deletion of those
objects in those areas, since the DOMAINS AND TRUSTS are
NOT showing the old removed domain.

HI, this is not a problem. You should find that the
server object in Sites & servers does not have an NTDS
settings child object now and if so you can safely delete
it.
Also the DNS entries will get scavanged in a few days I
would expect (since they are not being refreshed anymore)
or you can just delete them now manually.
