does anyone have any idea why my site looks fine on my computer, but there is a problem with a frame on everyone else's

Look in your web for an absolute reference to a file on your system -
e.g. a link going to "C:\MyWebs\ThisWeb\Images\picture.jpg" instead of
to "Images/picture.jpg". This usually pops up as a cause of a bad
image link, but you can introduce the same sort of error in a link to
an HTML file.

it's not a bad image link,
the site is www.birthfocus.com
when I click on the some of the menu items, there is a white border around
the main/parent frame...Yet when I view it on my system, it's fine.

Meg... I really don't think you need frames for this site. Besides being a
lot of extra work, the use of frames can hurt you in search engine
placement. In your case I think you could just use an "include page" for
your menu. You didn't ask, btw, but I'd soften the look of your navigation
buttons, and reorder them too, so that doulas isn't the first thing you
see... for people who don't know what a doula is, it looks like "Meet the
Doulas" means you're going to talk about a family named Doula.

thanks for everyone's input. I didn't create the site, someone else did and
I've got the joy of taking it over. The problem is when you click on some
of the links, I believe the 2nd and thirds ones, you get a white border
/background around the page that shows the info.

I think what you are seeing it that the background image is taking a while
to load, so you see the default browser background until the background
image loads.

meg- each of your pages should display with those borders
but due to errors in the table and cell code on some pages,
the border doesn't display on all of them. (some border
settings are missing the "px" after the border width).

I would post the necessary changes but the code for your
pages is bloated probably due to pages built in a word
processor and converted to html. IMO- start over from
scratch using FP to create your pages and tables to your
liking. You'll end up with cleaner, faster loading code
that is intended specifically for the net and should be
more readable by a variety of browsers and OS.

new question. Can I only have 1 Left Border?
If I want to have different borders on different pages, but all on the left,
is that possible?

the site was built by someone else and I'm trying to fix it up, but I see I
have to start from scratch.
thanks again.

Also, is it possible in front Page to create shapes and have colors etc... I
would like to change the shapes and colors of the navigation keys on the
borders but don't know if I have to change the themes or what.

Thanks, I hope that makes sense

You can only have 1 left border file in your web and it will be applied to
all page using that border.

You have to modify the theme.

how do I modify a theme, for just the color and font of the navigation
buttons?
I don't use a theme for anything else

Go to Format | Themes, select your theme, then click modify, then go thru
the options available, then save under a new name, then remove the current
theme, run Tools | Recalculate Hyperlinks, then apply your new theme.
