checkboxes in listviews

are plain ugly!

Is there a way we can make these look better. these checkboxes seem to have
a 3 pixel black border. i'd very much like to change that to a 1 pixel grey
border . has anyone done this?

In order to do this, you will have to custom paint the control yourself.
Either that, or get a third-party control which will give you the style that
you want.
