Hi,
I'm trying to work through the Outlook Security Settings issue that I have.
I have a com add-in that parses incoming emails and it prompts me that a
process is using my profile information. I created the CheckAdminSettings
DWORD value in my registry. I still get prompted. I asked on this
newsgroup and Sue Mosher said that I would need to add a form to the
Exchange Server.
I don't have an exchange server. If I was to get a Verisign Digital
Certificate to sign the DLL, would it still prompt me for my profile. Is
this a workaround. If not, is there a workaround if I'm not using an
Exchange Server?

Please Advise.
Rafael

CheckAdminSettings registry change only works if you have Exchange Server.
If you need to have a COM add-in parse incoming emails you will either have
to upgrade to Outlook 2003 (where COM add-ins are trusted by default), use
Redemption in your coding (www.dimastr.com/Redemption) or use Extended MAPI
in your coding.

A digital certificate won't help the matter. Sorry.
