Check for updates problem

When MSAS tries to check for updates, I get "Warning, could
not connect to the internet". My Internet connection/Port
80 is open and working fine. I am behind a router and have
Microsoft Firewall enabled. Any solutions would be appreciated.

Is your Internet Explorer set to work on-line or off-line? If off-line, then
this is the source of the problem - set it to work on-line (in the File menu
of IE).
