PC performs check disk at start up even when pc was
turned off using the proper procedures. This happens
every time the pc is turned on/off. Any ideas what may
cause this?

To cancel a scheduled run of chkdsk:
1.Go to Start\Run and enter cmd
2.Enter "chkntfs /x c:" no quotes

Unfortunately I don't have a Hewlett Packard ScanJet
Scanner connected to my pc. I do however have an HP
printer, but I have had this printer for a about 8 months
now with no problems.

Thanks Taurarian
