Check Disc utility in Windows XP Home Edition

How do I find the log which shows the results of running
the Check Disc utility? When I run it, the message upon
completion of the CHKDSK test, moves so fast that I can't
read it. Instead I am returned to the desktop.
 
Go to Control Panel > Admin. Tools > Event Viewer > Winlogon
after running Chkdsk to see the report.
