Check box sorting

Hi, i used check boxes in my spreadsheet and don't know
how to do a sort on a column to say e.g. if cells a2:a6
have check boxes checked how do i sort it? or even have a
number appear stating how many check boxes have been
selected?
 
Make sure that you are using check boxes from the Forms
toolbox. Right click each one and select Form Control.
Pick a suitable Cell link cell for each one.

Now sort on these linked cells.

To get the total of selected cells, use this formula
=COUNTIF(range, True)
