Check box on continuous form

Access 2003. One table of 55,000 records. Use complex and diverse criteria to
select subset from this table. Want user to further select using their own
knowledge/intuition from this subset. Have set up continuous form with check
boxes as my appraoch. Check boxes (Yes/No) are bound back to that same main
table. Check boxes are not receptive to mouse click, beep on click, but no
visible display or recording of click. Baffled!

Is the approach sound? Anticipate a desire to also establish a "select all"
control if the first hurdle can be overcome. A little guidance would be great.

As always many thanks in advance.

If you open the query directly, can you make edits there?

Thanks Rick,
Your question sent me in the right direction. By re-evaluating my query I
became aware that the removal of the "Group By'" option on the query design
grid got me to the solution I needed. My thanks.
