Please help! Every time I try to get into a chat room, the applet tries to
start but then I all of my Internet Windows close down. I am still connected
but I cannot get into a chat room. I have went through all of my Java
settings, but maybe there is something I am missing. Can someone please help
me? ? It's imperitive I get this sorted out! Thank you so much. You can mail
me at (e-mail address removed).

Thanks & Regards,
Michelle

Hi Michelle :)

Try disabling the popup blocker in SP2 and see if it helps:

The popup blocker installed with SP2 is simple to turn on and off and is
turned on by default. It shows up down in the status bar of IE and a simple
right click gives you the option to enable/disable the blocker. One nice
feature is that you can enable/disable popups for certain sites rather than
just arbitrarily enable or disable them for all sites. See:

Internet Explorer Popup Manager
http://msdn.microsoft.com/security/productinfo/XPSP2/securebrowsing/popupmanager.aspx

also....

Allow active content to run in files on My Computer - Windows XP Service
Pack 2:

If these steps do not resolve your problem, please post back to this thread
with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps

It has to do with sun java.

1st download msjava from another website.
2nd Install the msjava
3nd Go to windows update an get the current msJava update.
4th Uncheck use sun jave in control panel -Internet options advanced
tab.
5th reboot.
