I can't because my IE blocks it due to an invalid/expired certificate. Does
anyone know why?

Hi Ken :-)

Every certificate has an expiration and start date. When your clock time or
date is off, even aby a fewminutes or hours, it may think the certificates
are not valid. So, check to be sure your date and time are correct and see
if that helps.

Hope this helps :-)

It appears they expired in '03 & '04. The warning says that the timestamp
signature or certificate could not be verified or is malformed. Both of them
appear on the "Other People" tab when viewing certificates in Internet
Options. Could changing the "advanced" settings for these certificates help?

Hi Ken :-)

You did not mention the version of Windows you are using, but, you might try
the following and see if it helps:

Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab>scroll down to 'Warn about invalid site
certificates" and make sure it is Unchecked.

If that does not work, you might also try:

Go to Tools>Internet Options>Security tab>highlight Internet>click Custom
level tab>scroll down and Uncheck the button next to "Don't prompt for
client certificate selection when no certificates or only one certificate
exists."

You might also try adding adding the site to the Trusted Sites in the
Tools>Internet Options>Security tab and see if that helps as well.

Hope this helps :-)

Hi Jan -

I'm using XP home w/sp2. I tried the first two suggestions...but with no
luck. I tried to add the site to the "Trusted Sites", but was told that only
sites with the prefix "https://" were allowed to be added here. I'm
downloading straight from chat.msn.com...any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Ken :-)

I'm truly sorry to say that I don't have any more answers for you on this.
Hopefully, someone else here will have more information that will help you
resolve the problem. Sorry that I could not be of more help.

Good luck! :-)

Sounds as if you have checked
Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone

Try unchecking that box
