Charts in Master Slide?

I am developing the slide master to be used by our company. So far so good,
but now I want to make a master for charts so I can determine the colors,
fonts and sizes for all charts in the company. I found a thread dated
2-21-05 started by Gary that touched on this, but did not go far enough.

When I try to add a chart to the master, it can not be edited in normal
view. When I change the color scheme, it is only for the color, it only goes
out four columns, it does not address the font and size for legend, header,
axis.

What is the correct way to address this?

There's not a good way to address this. The only real solution I know is to
create a few sample charts on some slides in your template. Teach users to
open the template file (instead of _applying_ it to a file) and change the
data in the graphs as appropriate.

You can set default chart styles, but that is a machine-specific -- not a
template-specific -- setting.

I went to the web address and will follow the steps outlined. I hope they
decide to make this a master slide feature soon. It would save a lot of
time/effort. I am glad you sent me the work around though!
