Is there such a thing as chart templates ?

I would like to find some template that I could for ie choose to have data
on the left of the graph and one or more data at the bottom etc....

I searched but did not find any templates. Do you know of any ?

Thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean, data on the left and one or more data at the
bottom.... You can add more series that share the same Y data but have
different X data, if that's what you mean. Or you can have two
horizontal axes (primary and secondary) and only a primary vertical
axis: double click a series and select Secondary on the Axis tab to make
a chart with two sets of axes, then right click on the chart, choose
Chart Options from the pop up menu, and select the combination of axes
you want.

Perhaps you are looking for the functionality of a pivot chart? That gives
you a list of variables, and you can click and drag each variable to the x
and y axes of the chart.

OK here is the scoop ........ I am often ask (at school) I want this data to
be on the left or on the right or whatever but I don't know for ie in a
table where should the data be in a table in order to be either on the x, y
or whatever in a graph so I thought if I could have some templates .........

I will check out pivot table,

Where do I find pivot chart ?

I think I will look for a good book to learn to do chart.

The Pivot Table is even more obscure for me LOL

Pivot chart is in Excel help. But based on your revised response, I suggest
you first go to
http://www.geocities.com/jonpeltier/Excel/ChartsHowTo/SourceData.html. That
might answer your questions without any further complication. Feel free to
post back if this suggestion misses the mark or if you have further
questions.

Excel Charts, by the master

Excel 2002 Bible

Go to Borders or Barnes and Noble and spend a half hour looking through
the books, find one that is at your level (or that isn't too much
harder, that you can grow into) that has a comfortable style.

For charting things, I have a tutorial in progress, which I fear I'll
never finish, on my web site:
