Hey
Thanks for the reply.
Just to make things more interesting, the problem isn't consistent. In
other words, I'm finding that sometimes the printouts are fine, but other
times there are no bars. So far I haven't been able to determine which
conditions produce which result. So I moved on to other methods of
publication...
I'm now printing pdf's of the charts and distributing those. The pdf
printer driver handles the charts fine, and the resulting file (of course)
prints with no issue from Acrobat. So far so good.
But in trying to streamline the process, I ran into another issue with
publishing these results. I set up a basic html page (wrote it in notepad)
on our shared hard drive, put the pdf's of the reports in the same directory,
and linked them from the html page. This way I can give out one address and
just overwrite the pdf's each time the charts are updated. This would work
really well except for the fact that the pdf's don't open in explorer (which
is what we all use here). I get a blank page with a placeholder.
I did a basic search in the knowledge base, but what I got back was over my
head. It suggested making changes to the web server to direct explorer to
open pdf's. That's not something I can do - I don't administrate the server.
Do you know a way to indicate within the html link that explorer should
expect a pdf, or alternatively to call acrobat reader to open the file?
Thanks for any advice...
Mary
