Has anyone been able to edit pie charts after they have been converted to a
design style? My clients change data often and reuse existing slides to do
so. I have only upgraded PPT. Do I need to upgrade excel also to edit data?

What do you mean by "converted to a design style"? Can you give us the steps
you're taking to convert?

Are you using PPT 2007, but Excel 2003?

You've upgraded to PPT 2007?

Have your clients also upgraded or do they plan to?

If not, you may be causing yourself and them a lot more work and hassle than is
necessary. It might be best to use the same version they have.

If for some reason you have no choice and they're not going to upgrade, try
making the charts in 2007 by clicking OBJECT on the Insert tab then choosing
Microsoft Graph Chart.
