Chart Axis Labels are cutting short in 2002

The Axis labels in Excel 2002 are cutting of before the
last letter. I can't size the square, its not an option,
and if I change the font, the same thing happens. Only
if I add an underscore in the titles will the last letter
appear, but also will half the underscore.

That's a commonly reported bug around here. I haven't seen it myself, but
the standard workaround is to add a space and a period after your axis
label. If the period shows up, format the period to be the same color as
the background (usually white).

I have 2000, if that is the standard workaround, what is
the workaround for a three to four word label with
parentheses and/or abbreviations, specifically: "West
Indian (excluding Hispanic)"? I also tried "W. Indian
(excl. Hisp.)" I have several other labels that are
longer (more letters) but are only up to two words and
they are complete, so I am guessing there is some kind of
number of words limit as well as number of characters
limit (I tried to make it all one word "WIndianexclHisp"
to test the possibilities even though I could never use
that word). So, what is the solution?
