I have a table that tracks where customers heard about us.

I have two fields, magazine and "word of mouth". Magazine has lots of
different values. Word of mouth has either yes or is null.

I would like to create a PivotChart that has a summary of where our
customers heard about us. Totals for Magazine1, Magazine2, and Word of
Mouth.

The problem is, when I put Word of Mouth in the "value" area with magazine,
I end up with two types of data with two different color columns.

Any thoughts?

I think I would have created a single field with all possible values.
However, you could graph a UNION query
SELECT FieldA, Magazine as HeardSource
FROM tblA
UNION ALL
SELECT FieldA, "WOM"
FROM tblA
WHERE [Word Of Mouth] = "Yes"
FROM tblA;
