Character Issue

Greetings:

I share a computer with another user which is on a microsoft network.
The other user reported that hitting the "quotation" yielded a different
character yet when I launch MS Word the key works properly. Is there some
'clearing' function that would restore the correct character for this user.
Much thanks in advance for any guidance.
 
Hi Maurice,

If it's just straight quotes vs. curly quotes:
"Tools > AutoCorrect options... > AutoFormat as you type".
You two might use different Normal.dots?

If it's a completely different character, check the Windows keyboard layout
in the other user's account.
