Character 13 and Returns

In my application I import data from XML Files to an SQL CE Server.

Unfortunately when i want to show the data the breaks form my text
disappeared and instead I've an symbol there. In found out that in some
cases that there's only an character 13 at the place where the break
should be.
I think I've to add there an character 10 (was ist 10 then 13 oder vice
versa?)
How could I do this?

Has anyone experienced same problems and has perhaps some solutions?

If you wrapped the values in a CDATA tag in your XmlDocument, it should
have kept your chr(13)'s.
