We are customizing IE on our public computers so that the Print Preview
button shows on the taskbar, rather than the Print button. The problem is
that we would like to change the Print Preview button to a printer type icon
similar to the Print button.

Is there a way to change the icon for Print Preview?

Thanks.

You may find what you want here:

See this site for how IE's toolbar buttons are constructed and behave:

Here's a pretty easy method I haven't seen before:

Alan,

Thanks for the reply. I indeed found them helpful, but I am still unclear
on a few (ok, a lot of things). What I think would be the easiest to do
would be possibly assign the same icon the Print button uses to the Print
Preview button, but I have no idea how to find where and how those are
already defined. If I need to create a new button, I have no idea what
program, script or what that the Print Preview button calls. Do you know if
there is a way to accomplish this?

Thanks,
Wendell

If you don't want to learn too much so you can do it yourself, try one
of the pieces of software.
CustomizeIE is free and looks like it will do what you want.
(Not yet tried personally)
I did try Themebar once four years ago, but I can't really recommend
that one.

I don't know where the Print button icon is held, but you can search a
few of the most likely .dll files if it is not obvious.
