How do I change the defaults on the window that pops up
when I scan something. It is always: flatbed, color, 100
dpi and some silly paper size. I have to change these
settings everytime I want to scan something to feeder,
black/white, 300 dpi and letter size paper. It really
gets old. I never had this problem until I got XP and my
MFC is using WIA drivers and Windows programs instead of
drivers and program that came with the MFC. Thanks.

You are a complete idiot. Read your manual. We have no idea what software you use dope.

Your response to my question is totally uncalled for and
very immature. I am simply asking for help from someone
who understands how this all works. Instead of berating
me, maybe you should have explained how to find this
information out so my question could be answered.
FYI My manual doesn't answer my question, I am using the
built-in XP scanning software. The Brother MFC website
said to uninstall the Brother MFC Pro scanning software
because it is not compatible with XP and that after I
uninstalled and restarted my computer XP would
automatically find the drivers and software needed to run
the MFC. The software that XP automatically found is
what I need to find and customize.
If anyone, other than David, can help me in a mature
manner, please respond. Thank you.
