So yes it's possible to change the logos, but it's pretty specific,
licensing wise what you can do...

You can suppress them, and I believe you can now replace them, but you
cannot modify the ones that come stock.

here's an article about it from the google archive, that quotes the
additional license provisions in SP2

I know you can do it, as we have done it for customers. Look to your License
agreements and ALP's from Microsoft for a more concise answer... MS Legal
probably doesn't spend too much time in this NG
