I'm new so this may have already been covered.

When I go to My Computer it always opens in details.

When I use Windows Explorer in the Windows XP Professional operating
system it always opens in tiles. How do I reset to show set the default
to details?

Thanks,

Jim

Go to any Explorer window (My Computer, for ex.) and set the display the
way you want from the View menu. Then click on the Tools Menu and
choose Folder Options. You'll see a button for "Apply to all folders"
to click. Apply/OK out.

Hi

Open Windows Explorer and enable View>Details. Then go to Tools>Folder
Options>View and click on 'Apply to All Folders'. Restart WE.

Open My Computer>Tools>Folder Options and select the view tab. Check the
option "Remember each Folder's View Settings". Now choose the view you want.
