Is there a registry hack where I can change the standard vpn port from
1723 and Ip protocol 47, to another ports like 5631 and 5632? With
ftp, www, and a lot of other services you can easily change the
standard assigned port numbers, but can you do so with VPN? Please
let me know.

IIRC, yes, there is -- perhaps someone else will provide the
location but I would look on the service or protocol entries
in the registry.

Note: you must change it on both the Server and Client for
such to function.
and Ip protocol 47,

No. IP Protocol numbers are not ports and only vaguely
analous -- in that they must match.

I think you might want to edit this file?

C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\protocol

I am pretty sure that doesn't work.

In UNIX it would since the file is used for configuratoin,
but I am pretty sure that Windows just uses the registery
for this stuff.
