A friend just moved to Denmark and took his old system with him but it
died. So he brought a nice new system with XP ready installed. Now the
problem, XP is in Danish not English and we can't figure a way to
change it i.e. none of the control panel settings change the whole
system.
Can he contact MS and get an alternative copy (international English)
and have the Danish one made un registerable. Or will their answer be
buy another copy, as you can guess the first one was pre installed and
only comes with an image disc.

Any help much appreciated

Windows XP is written in specific language versions, therefore one
cannot change it from one language version to another. You'll need
to purchase a "Full Version" of Windows XP in the language version
you want, reformat your drive and install it "clean".

Or if you have an available empty drive or partition, you can install
another "Full Version" of Windows XP in a different language version
and create a dual-boot configuration.

A good third-party partitioning program is Partition Magic 8.
