Changing the UserID

I got my a new laptop as a gift and it was allready set up. thw name my
syatem and everything is under is the purchaser. I have managed to change the
administrator name and the pc thing but I have not been able to change the
UserID. if there is a way to change this seeting please get back to me.

Hello,

so when you go to Control Panel -> User Control Panel -> User Accounts and
Family Safety -> User Accounts and click the account you want to change,
there's no option to change the Account name?
Then try logging on using your Administrative account and go to Control
Panel -> ... -> User Accounts again and try to see if you have the option to
rename any account.
