I recently upgraded from Windows98 to Windows 2000. I
have adjusted all of my settings, however, I cannot change
the settings for my KDS Xtreme Flat Screen monitor. I
have downloaded the drivers for this monitor, but I cannot
adjust the settings or upload the drivers. I have gone
this route:
Control Panel - Display - Settings - Advanced - Monitor,
however the monitor tab says "Monitor Type - Default" and
the properties tab cannot be accessed. In addition the
lower box says - "use hardware default setting" and cannot
be changed. Anyone able to help me?

No "Monitors" subsection in Device Manager? Your graphics adapter and or
it's driver are not passing any information to the OS about the monitor,
hence the reason it doesn't show up in Device Manager. Check with the
hardware manufacturer for an updated Windows 2000 driver for your graphics
adapter.
