Hi,

I recently updated my iTunes and with it comes the absolutely horrible
Quicktime ... I'd love to uninstall it, but then the iTunes won't work ...

ANYWAY, my question is how do I change the program that IE6 automatically
uses when I click on a link, for example, to a mpg file? Right now, it
automatically opens with the abovementioned Quicktime (UGH) and I can't seem
to find any way to get it open with another program unless I uninstall it
completely. Thanks!!!

easiest way, in Windows explorer, right-click on an mpeg file, choose "open
with" and check the box "always use the selected program to open this type
of file" and then choose the application you want. that /should/ change the
file association permanently.
