Changing the Ownership of Database object

I want to change the Ownership of a Database object, in MS Access 2003.

I have created a User in Admins Group, assigned it all the Permissions and
assigned it the Owndership of all the objects, except for the Database.

On deleting the existing owner, it shows the Owner of Database object as
Unknown.

Looking for help.

I think there is a way to change ownership of the database object in code,
but I'm not familair with it. What you can definitely do is open Access
using the account that you want to be the new owner, create a new empty file
and then import into it all of the objects from the existing file. Since
the account in question created the file it will automatically be the owner
of the database. Downside is that during the import process you will lose
all existing security settings on all the other objects and will have to
reset them.
 
Thanks Rick Brandt. As you mentioned, losing all the security settings is
quite daunting. I will go for it, if no other solution found.

By the way, what si the security risk in leaving the Ownership of Database as
Unknown !

It is likely only "unknown" in the given Workgroup. If someone opened your
file with a different workgroup in which that owner was NOT unknown and they
were using that account they would be able to open your file as the owner
and would have owner's privileges.
 
It is brilliant point and can cause a real security threat.
