Hi,
In the Inbox folder all unread messages have an icon of a close
envelope, whereas read messages have an open envelope icon.

Can i change these icons to one of my custom images??

Thank

Not unless they're custom form items. For items created with a custom form,
you can set the icon on the (Properties) page. Note that it's *one* icon,
not different icons for read and unread.

hi,
Thanks for the reply. But im not clear with the answer. I understan
that its One icon for One type of messages. what i mean to ask is tha
if my inbox contains different type of messages like normal emails, an
other types of messages I want to differentiate each type of message o
the basis of their icon. I dont have to bother about the email icon
because they are present by default. but if i want to use my ow
.jpg,.ico,.gif etc for the other type of messages like fax
can i do it programmatically

Repeating: Only custom form items can have custom icons. If you want an item
to have a different icon, you must associate a custom form with it by
setting the MessageClass property to that form's class. Only them will the
item display the form's custom icon.

hi,
thanks for all the help. i think i got the gist of what you ar
saying.
Also i would be really grateful if you could respond to the threa
headed "PropertyChange/Custom PropertyChange". i dont know if i
allowed to ask answers for other threads within this one but im reall
desperate to know whether the problem is solvable or not!!!

You're encouraged to contribute to the discussion of other threads, as long
as you keep them on topic, but asking someone to respond to another thread
generally isn't productive. Everyone who participates in these newsgroups is
a volunteer and may or may not have information related to some other
thread. They also may not even see the other thread you're talking about.
