Changing the gray color on disabled controls

I have looped through the controls on a form to disable some of them. For each one that is disabled it changes the color to a light gray. Is there any way to change this color for disabled objects. I am working with Access 97. Thanks in advance.
 
No, the "greyed out" look for controls which have been disabled is by
design. You can, however, use the Locked property instead.
