changing the default user

The person that installed my XP mistyped my name when setting the
default user account.
I managed the change the name in the control panel, but the folders and
the author name in the docs is still the wrong one.

When I tryed to rename the folder XP says it cannot be done as it is a
system folder.

Does anyone know how to correct this problem?

Greetings Marcelo, The quick way to do this is to go to the control panel
and click on user accounts and select your account then hit the change name
button. Change it to what ever you wish then hit change name. I think this
will help you out. Good luck

To have folder names match the user name, they must be created at the same
time. In other words, rename the messed up account. Create a new account
with the corrected user name. The first time you log on with the new
account, its folders will be created.

To get the name to change in the Word documents: Open Word. Click on Tools>
User Information and fill in the correct information. To get the name to
change in Word's Help> About... it may pick up on the change done for
Windows (Doug Knox link). If it doesn't, check with the one of the MS
Office newsgroups for directions on altering this information.
