Hi,

I ann using Access 2003 and have a table in datasheet view and want to
change the background colour of selected rows, I guess in a similar way to
the functionality Excel has. When I try to do this (using "datasheet
formatting" from the format menu) this changes the background colour of AL
rows ratehr than just the ones Ive changed!
Can it be done?

Thanks very much for your help

Cheers

Barbara

Just like Excel you have to use Conditional Formatting.

Hi,

thanks for your answer but Im still a bit confused, can you give me more
information please? for example, in excell i just highlight the row, right
click it, choose "format cells" and then change the background colour, and it
changes the colour of that row only.
In access I cant find a similar option in the "format" menu.
thanks very much for your help

cheers

YOu cannot apply formatting directly to the table view. YOu need to use
the Form wizard to create a Datasheet view. From design view of this
form, select a TextBox control and now there will be a Conditional
Formatting option available from the Format menu.
