Changing the ActiveExplorer.Selection

Can this be done? I want to programmatically select (highlight) certain
mailitems programmatically so that the user doesn't have to go looking
for it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

FYI, there is a newsgroup specifically for general Outlook programming
