Changing Registry Settings Throught Group Policy

Does anyone know of a way of changing registry setting in a GPO.
After the recent release of XPSP2 there are some registry settings that
I want to add/change to get rid of things like the print notification
balloon that
pops up everytime a user sends a document to print.

I have looked at

Computer configuration || windows settings || Security Settings || Registry

But that seems to be more to do with permission on already available
registry settings rather than adding new keys.

Thanks for any help.

Generally, there are two ways of doing that:

1) Create a .reg file with all your settings and then import it with either
startup or logon scripts
2) Create a custom .adm file and import it into your GPO. Then you will be
able to manage the settings under Administrative Templates, as other
settings. The disadvantage is that settings defined this way are not true
policies and therefore will not be reverted after any changes.
